1. Our Commitment

AKMART is committed to providing an accessible digital experience for all shoppers, regardless of ability, device, or assistive technology. We aligned our roadmap with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and Section 508 where applicable.

2. Measures We Take

• Semantic HTML structure with ARIA roles and labels on interactive components.
• Keyboard navigable menus, modals, and form elements.
• Alternative text for informative images and descriptive captions for product galleries.
• Color-contrast checks to support users with low vision or color blindness.
• Continuous accessibility testing within our CI pipeline and periodic audits by third-party specialists.

3. Conformance Status

The AKMART storefront is presently designed to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA success criteria. Some legacy modules are being refactored and may not yet meet the desired contrast or keyboard interaction standards. These items are tracked in our accessibility backlog with clear remediation owners.

4. Assistive Technology Support

We regularly test using screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver), screen magnifiers, speech recognition tools, and keyboard-only navigation. If you face an issue, please share the browser, operating system, assistive technology, and the URL where the problem occurred so we can reproduce it swiftly.
